AIRPAC Squadron owes its existence to the Navy League of the United States Santa
Barbara Council. The council was responsible for sponsoring AIRPAC’s creation in
2004 and provides the annual financial support of its operation. In no uncertain
terms, it should be noted that only through the continued and unwavering support
of the Santa Barbara Navy League, AIRPAC is able to undertake the training and travel
activities which provide priceless experience to its cadets.
The Navy League of the United States is a non-profit organization that has provided
moral and family support to personnel in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and
the U.S. Merchant Marine for over 100 years.

Pierre Claeyssens donated literally millions of dollars through the Wood-Claeyssens
Foundation to Santa Barbara area causes over his lifetime. These gifts touched the
entire community, and ranged from cultural arts, youth programs, park acquisition
and open space protection to adapted recreation and much more.
